Due to construction on the Eagles' home course, Greencastle hosted the Putnam County Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Big Walnut Sports Park. The Eagle boys used their depth to capture the team win, while the girls' team finished 3rd overall. All County runners for South were Gabe Feltner (2nd), Bryan Bye (5th), Elise Kendall (3rd) and Addy Thibodeau (5th). Both teams will compete in the Nike Twilight meet this weekend, followed by the Western Indiana Conference meet at Brown County on October 11th.
