South Putnam Athletics

South Putnam will be offering swim lessons this summer as well as summer swim team options for all ages. Registration for both is open via the "Registrations" tab on the website. Group Lessons ($50/child) SESSION #1: June 1-12, weekday mornings SESSION #2: June 15-26, weekday mornings Class times are 9:45, 10:15, 11 and 11:30am. Approximately three students per instructor; young children must be potty-trained. Elementary Swim Team ($60/child; current K-5th graders) The summer team is a fun introduction to competitive swimming with heavy technique instruction. This group will swim on M/W/F May 27th - June 26th from 12:15-1:15pm and have the option to compete in meets approximately once/week during the month of June (typically Thursday evenings). Swimmers of all ages are welcome after meeting the prerequisite ability to swim 25 yards independently. Children who have worked at the most advanced end of the swim lesson program at South Putnam or have graduated from the Grifflings 1 group through PCST are ready to try the summer team! M/HS Summer Team ($40/student; current 6-12th graders) Middle and high school students are encouraged to join the summer swim team beginning May 26th. This group will practice M/T/W, 8-9:30am and have the option to compete in meets approximately once/week during the month of June (typically Thursday evenings). Summer team is a fun way to build general athleticism and is open to any middle or high school student, regardless of previous participation on a formal swim team. Private Lessons Private swim lessons (1:1) will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons June 1-25. Adult Lessons This year we're happy to offer a small group lesson class for adults on Monday and Wednesday mornings in June. Class will take place from 7-7:45am both mornings.
